  • The UICR requires a uniform education standard for drivers concerning the transport of dangerous goods and  securing special loads.

  • The UICR requires the improvement of traffic safety and an adequate use of environmental resources through the improvement of driver education.

  • The UICR requires the improvement of active and passive safety in the vehicle (instruments, braking systems, lighting systems, distance warning systems) especially warning systems for safely travelling in reverse gear and warning systems for the blind spot.  

  • The UICR requires a clear definition of work and rest periods.

  • The UICR requires the elimination of revocation of driving licenses for reasons unrelated to daily work.

  • The UICR requires a harmonization of fuel taxes and motor vehicle tax in Europe

  • The UICR is involved at different levels in discussions with the government, authorities, transportation associations and other institutions in order to keep organization up to standard and to influence these groups in the interest of professional drivers.  

  • The professional driver is responsible to blend transportation in a harmonious way with society and the environment.
